We try to make each of our “Craft of Speed” cinema events unique and memorable. Our “Craft of Speed” MOONEYES Documentary screening at Analog&Grit in San Diego on Sunday, 1/25/2026 will truly be special. Analog&Grit Collector Car Storage Club is a massive space in the heart of San Diego, which has become a popular car community hub.

Control Entertainment will be helping to turn it into a theater unlike any other with its Urban Entertainment Vehicle (UEV), a monster truck that has giant led screens attached to its sides. Think “Mad Max.”

This just sets the stage for two legendary racing teams and longtime friends—MOONEYES and the Bean Bandits—both whom recently celebrated their 75th anniversaries.

See the dynamic photography exhibit, “The Bean Bandits. Photographed by Zap Teshima.” Listen to a lively discussion with the Bean Bandits, respected builder Willie Masayoshi Dorsey, and filmmaker Ming Lai. And then watch a 2-hour feature documentary about MOONEYES.

Vintage Motor Union is even organizing a “Honor the Past” rally of vintage vehicles from Los Angeles to San Diego to attend the screening. Thanks to all of our community partners, we’re deeply honored to share our film with the beautiful city of San Diego and celebrate an inspiring friendship.
